A while ago I ran a competition on my LetsShoot Facebook page in association with Musicreview Unsigned (MRU) with the prize being a photoshoot with me. Amber Fleming won the competition and these shots are some of my favourites from the session. Check out Amber's music on www.amberflemingmusic.blogspot.com

  These images have been sitting in my camera for a few weeks.  Unfortunately the weather was not kind on the day, rained for most of it and was very overcast. Pity, really it would have been nice to see bigger crowds there. Decided to convert the shots to black & white basically because very few of the shots I took demanded colour.

First of all, a big thank you to Trevor Halpin, Editor at Music Review Unsigned for promoting this competition.   Thanks to all the acts who participated and all their fans who voted for them on the LetsShoot Facebook page. Amber will get the best shots of the session, minimum 15 pictures.   These shots will be burned to cd, one for print media and the other for social media.

The last photo gives it away.  Belfast on a sunny afternoon with my 50mm 1.8.  Its a terrific lense and very light and compact to carry around.  Makes you work on your feet instead of relying on the zoom lense.

If you want your band to win, simply like the LetsShoot Facebook page www.artist.to/letsshoot   and get your fans to like it too. Then ask your fans to post a comment on the wall with the name of the band. The band/act that has the most names on it by the 31st January is the winner.
