Aslan, what can I say that hasn't already been said. They are into their 26th year and still going strong. Definitely a must see live band. Their next album will be an album of covers and I am really looking forward to it. I met an Aslan fan who told me he could give me a good picture and then proceeded to take off his shirt. On his back, he had this great tatoo, worth a photo I thought.

Shot this act when they were playing support to the Republic of Loose on the 11th April. If you like hip hop these guys are the ticket.   They also played support for Loose on the 25th April and they joined them on stage with the Mighty Stef for the encore.

I was back at the Academy again on Friday to capture the last of the Republic of Loose's Friday nights residency (you could say I am a fan). "Vol.IV Johnny Pyro and the Dance of Evil", their third album is now out and has got rave reviews.

11th April saw Republic of Loose play their second gig of their four dates in the Academy. The venue was stuffed, literally wall to wall with people. Support on the night was provided by Dirty Epics and The Millionaire Boyz. The Epics played a ballsy set and the boyx were a mixture of hip hop and rap. The Loose have released their excellent new single, "I Like Music" from their forthcoming album, 'Vol IV Johnny Pyro and the Dance of Evil'. The album is due for release on the 2nd May. Really enjoyed shooting this band, plenty of guys to choose from! They played a great set, featuring songs from "Aaagh! and their new album. For the encore they were joined by the opera singer, Judith Mok for two tracks and then Damien Dempsey joined the Loose for two numbers.
