James O'Toole & Band's Single Launch

I was looking forward to this gig, having seen James & Band in August of last year. This occasion marked the release of their single "In Light" at the Crawdaddy on Thursday 17th January. Support on the night was provided by Carla Brunell, Asha and Gina Moore. There was a good turnout for the nite and the band were in great form. It was obvious to everyone that they were enjoying themselves.

Towards the end of the night James and Band were joined for a number by Carla Brunell and Gina Moore (pictured above).

The Flaws were the support act for The Thrills and the venue was already packed by the time they took to the stage. The audience gave them a warm reception as they belted out their songs including their new single "1981". Next up was The Thrills who went down a storm with the crowd. They played hits from their two albums "So Much For The City" and "Lets Bottle Bohemia" as well as tracks from their current Album "Teenager" including their classic new single "Nothing Changes Around Here". I got chatting to a guy who had come over all the way from Wales to the Village to see The Thrills. They finished with a great cover of "Dancing In The Dark" by Bruce Springsteen.
